PNW inna house....sailing thru the once a year heat wave with no problems. The dog uses the heat as an excuse for going down to a little pond and laying in the mud. Comes up on the porch looking like the canine version of "Monster From The Black Lagoon." As for me - most of the stitches out. Doing well.

Maggie, save me a computer search and give the full address for sending a card to Toni, would you? A stroke is such a fearsome thing, scares the crap outa me. It is wonderful that you are all supporting Toni at this time. What a great use of this forum.

Mary Margaret,

Is that phone # for Toni her personal cell phone or the hospital room's landline?

Mary Margaret Clark (Schultheis)

Hi again everyone.  I now have Toni's home address which is: 1238 Bunker Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43220.  I believe her cell phone # is: 614-457-2767.  She is going to be moved sometime tomorrow to: OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital, 1087 Dennison Ave. Columbus, Ohio 43201 and the phone # for that facility is 614-484-9600.  The doctors estimate that she will be at the rehab facility for 5 days. The phone # 614-544-7774 is the direct land line into her room at Riverside.  Thank you one and all on Toni's behalf for responding to her situation.

We are the "Eagles"......we're #1!!!!

Hey, guys, lets get as many cards out to Toni as we can.  I'm sure it will warm her heart to know we are all thinking of her.  MM, thanks for posting the address.  It could be any of us at this time in our lives, and some of us are not blessed with family around us to lift us up.  So prayers, good thoughts,  and cards for Toni!

Debbie

I love the idea that this site can also be a claxton to send out the alarm that one of our mates is in need. Isn't a claxton one of those "aaahhhh-ooooooo-gaaahhhh" sounding things?? I may be "a few words short of a vocabulary" on that one. So thanks Maggie, Debbie, Mary Kay...by the way, so glad to hear that Gus will dress for the August get together although with Ganley along, people might not even notice...and others. Happy Birthday to all cheerleaders short and tall...

In light of the above sentiment can I ask for a possible volunteer to fly out here and rub my foot? No? OK, so send Toni a card AND how about helping out Steve Royer's wife Lynny? I will submit that having Steve as a friend was like walking down a dark alley with a bear by your side...a bear that could be funnier that Phil Silvers or as rough as the Old Lone Ranger in a mask stealing contest. The 'dark alley' reference is explained by saying that you would fear nothing in that alley but might just pee your pants at Steve's insane behavior.

Lynny is possibly the only woman alive that could have lived with the zaniness that was Steve "Hog" Royer and still smiled all the time. Now, as you know, Steve has passed away and here is a current need that could be fullfilled by someone with a warm and understanding heart. Lynn is trying to move back from the Laurelville area to Columbus. She needs a real estate agent to help in the the purchase of an "as yet to be found" place somewhere in Columbus. Lynn is not well-off. She needs the help of a professional real estate agent at a discount price if that is acceptable to one of our licensed classmates. I'm sure your kindness will come back.

I think Debbie Lloyd Gerlach still sells real estate. Debbie?

Mary Margaret Clark (Schultheis)

Hi all........well, I stand corrected once again.  Toni left me a message this morning that her home address is actually Bunker HILL Blvd.  and not just Bunker Blvd. as I originally posted.  Hopefully, for any who may have sent a card already and it is missing the "Hill" portion of the address, the mailperson will get it to the right address.  Toni also said that Mary Kay was picking her up at the hospital today to drive her over to the rehab facility where she will stay until maybe next Saturday,  Her main issue right now seems to be her lack of strength as I understand it from Toni.  Again thanks to everyone for being the "good and faithful servants" that you are.heart

Update on Toni Cardi. She will be at Ohio Health Rehab Hospital for approximately 9 days. Her mailbox at her residence is not set up yet, so I am not sure when she will be able to retrieve mail. O. H. address is 1087 Dennison Ave. 43201. Rm. 573. #614-484-9573. She's looking forward to seeing everyone at the #55 celebration on the 26th. Please keep her in your prayers!

What a hoot! I open this site to see "wha's shakin!" and I scroll through pictures of 17 year old Mary Margaret and Kathy and Jane and Mary Ann and then read a line from Mary Kay about four grandkids....this is like a flippin' time machine...the Watterson WayBack Machine.

Party on.

Marry Kay, while we're on this topic ,,,,,

I think you need to come clean about your age.

I show up at this old folks gathering last year and a class reunion breaks out. But you waltz in looking like a college girl and I'm thinkin' what the Frank? I thought you were there selling girl scout cookies or somethin'.

I admit that I go to a salon each week to get the wrinkles under my eyes re-wrinkled, and I assume Keith Groff and Kevin Cull go to the same parlor to have the silver sprayed on to keep that distinguished look. But you? You must be cheating. Is it something to do with Cryogenics? Or is Gus onto some sort of special super food product that we don't know about?

Fess up girl!

Not to brag, but exciting, bucket-listing times for me are coming, starting this weekend. Sunday, we are going to see Hamilton -- can't wait! I know everyone has heard about this juggernaut of a show, but if you haven't taken the time to listen to it, I strongly urge you to do so. The history, the heartbreak, the humor, the Hee! Haw! Hold on to your horses, Pa. This is unlike any show you will have ever encountered. There is a free website you can go to that has all of the songs, and in addition has all of the lyrics, which is helpful because you can easily see who is saying (singing) what, and it also has some backstory information about various situations:

https://genius.com/Lin-manuel-miranda-alexander-hamilton-lyrics

The songs are on the lower right side as you scroll down. After selecting a song you have to scroll back to the top to hit the play button on the upper right hand side. Check it out. You will not be disappointed.

Then on Monday, as I mentioned in a previous post, we leave for Ireland for a couple of days in Dublin, and then off to the Lake Country of Northern England, and then to Edinburgh, Scotland and its Fringe Festival. Woo Hoo. I will  send you a post card.

So long, Suckas!

Head out of.Dublin for the countryside. Not to show any bias but County Clare is particularly beautiful!

Have a great trip.

Mary Kay....so 14 Grandkids...you guys live in a shoe, right? I know what happened...the spirit came down to you and Gus one night and said, "I will bless you with 14 grandchildren before you are 70". Before you could say "Thanks,, spirit!"  he added "...but you have to be friends with Frank Ganley your whole lives!" Actually I couldn't be more jealous unless you were.....

Mark....you suck....I couldn't be more jealous...Hamilton and then County Clare, Cork, The Ring of Kerry maybe; little Cliffs of Moher or Mohr...something like that. Watch over your gal. I took my beloved Mom to Mickland in about 84 and an tall aging leprechaun turned to her in the middle of an intersection, doffed his cap and said "It's lovely your lookin' this mornin' lass". Swear. She walked so tall for several blocks after that at 76. If a tiny old guy sits next to you in a bar and says he'll tell you a few stories if you'll buy the Guiness, I know you'll stand the tab. Worth it. But after the first story his wife will come in a drag bim out to the amusement of the bar. Give him my best. Party On...
