Yep, MM, that's our girl.

Thanks for the info. Had I on a hat I'd take it off to you.

I had no idea Jonathan Winters was involved in it.

Thanks for the tip about area 51 Jim - I had planned to go as I know all the other lunatics rely on my leadership and common sense, but I'll stay home instead. So many things to do today. Think I'll start by framing this beautiful, recently acquired picture so I can hang it on my office wall.

Mike,

May it help keep you cool in your office as you flap around and look at it with those crossed eyes!

Jim, I thought that the Million Mob is going to Area 51 on SEPTEMBER 20th!

Bonnie,

Mea culpa! You are correct, it is September 20th.

Wow, who woke all you guys up?

Jim, I ruined my own joke (again). I thought it was this weekend - let alone my wrong "area"

I thought Aunt Fran was a communist plot.

Mike,  I was on the Aunt Fran Show when I was five, too. I was the little girl with long dark braids wearing a light blue dress with matching ribbons and socks. Maybe we were on together!!!

Clare

If so, Mary Clare, you were surely better dressed than I. And better behaved.

Since we are rapidly approaching the trip to Greemfield Village and the Henry Ford I thought it appropriate to share my thoughts on MY mi-life crisis.  I am enclosing scans of the TYPE of car I am contemplating purchasing.  There are at least four major manufacturers of this style of car from the late 1980 though the early 2000's, some still manufacturing.  They are built on a Mustang or Camaro chasis with Power everything, except 8-track ploayers.  Most seat four.  They generally run around $23,000 to $34,000, except for the four door models which can run from $38,000 to $60,000.  One thing - DON'T TELL MY WIFE!!!!!!!

Joe,

Can you get it with flames painted on the front wheel wells?

Or how about an SUV version?

07/21/19 04:16 PM #5788

Mary Margaret Clark (Schultheis)

Joe.......go for it.......they don't design them like this anymore!  Note:  The car might be hard to hide from your wifelaugh

James Hamilton, M. D.

Joe,

Wow, they don't make bumpers like that anymore! Although you probably wouldn't need to in California, you could push another vehicle stuck in the snow without damage. And those horns - I can only imagine what tunes they play!

Did you get this idea from watching "The Great Gatsby"?

Jim

I have one word for you, Joe:

Ah-OOOO-ga!

As I take a second look back at post #5799, I am touched by your kindness. It was awfully thoughtful of you all to invite all those elderly people to join you at India Oaks. I don't suppose many of them are allowed out on their own at night. And I assume you hired drivers for all of them.

How sweet!

I read an article today regarding the Shroud of Turin and followed a link to a website showcasing the photo collection of Vernon Miller.  Miller was a world-wide renowned scientific photographer who was designated as the official scientific photographer of the 1978 Shroud of Turin Research Project, Inc. which was the first and last comprehensive research project authorized by the Vatican to study the authenticity of the Shroud.  I thought that since some of you on this forum have such an affinity for photography, the photos on this website might hold some interest for you.

James Hamilton, M. D.

MM,

Thanks for those links. Miller's photos and techniques are amazing examples of how the art and science of photography can be used to help solve historical and religious mysteries and as aids to establish them as factual events.

It would be interesting if the Vatican would ever consent to having Miller's work repeated using the modern digital cameras and post-processing computer programs available today.

Also, if DNA from the blood on the Shroud could ever be compared to that found in the Eucharistic Miracle of Argentina, that would be fascinating.

I have always believed that science and religion complement each other and the Shroud of Turin is a perfect example.

Jim: I don't know about the dna but wouldn't the blood type have to be, by definition, Type A.D.?

Mike,

Mickey Weinstein would pobably demand C.E.!
