As usual Fred was able to provide MOST of the answers; BUT he aparently didn't read the directions which stated no books, computers, or smart phones. His first response stated "from Wiki:". I always expected better from you Fred, Dave maybe not, but you.
Anyways the answers, which Fred proved excellent on earning a little extra credit are below.
1. George W. Bush, the 43rd President and George H.W. Bush, the 41st President.
2. "W's" Grandfather, and "H.W.'s Father was Senator Prescott Bush of Massachusetts, where "H.W." was born. Prescott Bush was the son of Samuel P. Bush. Samuel P. Bush became the President of Buckeye Steel Castings, South Parsons Ave. later name change to Columbus Castings. He is buried in Greenlawn Cemetary.
3. Correct Fred. Samuel P. Bush's home was located on Roxbury byOur Lady of Victory. It was still an impressive sight when I was in High School.
4. As usual Fred got most of this answer ( Fred you are hereby excluded from further responses). However, as a short advertyising plug, whenever I return to Columbus one of the things I always do is stop at the Franklin County Engineers offices (just past the old main post office and the Columbus Utitlties offices) and pick-up one of the FREE Franklin County maps that are available 24/7 in a covered box outside the building. I check to see if Morse Road has finally received the go ahead to connect with Bethel Road. I've only been waiting over fifty years so it's bound to happen any day. Anyway, they also have dropped a few names of streets over the years, but here goes for my answer. Form High Street go West on (1) Spring St.; By the Old Pennitentiary, Niel Avenue the Road changed it's name until about the Olentangy River to (2) something like Riverview Rd. (check the old street signs; past the Olentangy it is called (3) Dublin Rd.; after it passes fifth Avenue it was called (4) Scioto River Rd., From some where North of Lane Ave. it is now known as (5) Riverside Drive.
5 With the above route you will see that it remains Rt. 33 until Route 33 veers west and joins Rt. 161. From that point North into Delaware County Riverside Drive is known as Rt. 257 as it goes past the Zoo.
Aside. Rt. 23 comes from Southern Ohio in an almost straight line; and follows South High Street North to Livingston Avenue. It then turns East to Fourth before turning North to Hudson Where it turns West to Indianola. At Indianola it follows North until Morse Road where it turns West until meeting High Street and finally resuming course North on High Street.
Route 40 heads East along Broad Street until Drexel Avenue where it turns South. At Main Street it turns East again and continues east across Ohio. I wiil not get into Rt 33 East or Rt 62; at least fornow.
