In the arms of Morpheus on May 21, 2005, at his home in Laurelville, OH.  He was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Cassie Royer.  Survived by his wife, Lynn; his kids, Starbuck and paws; and his chosen family, his friends.  He attended Bishop Watterson HS and graduated from St. Francis DeSales HS.  He was a US Navy veteran and retired from the City of Columbus as an equipment operator.  From birth to death he loved to play in the dirt. Steve was a philomath and loved people.  He often said he had seen the elephant and they had swapped stories.
