Ladies, I am sorry I missed the all for the luncheon.  Donna called and gave me hell.  Truthfully, I just forgot.  She got me on the way home from the grocery store.  My heart was broken.  You all looked absolutely beautiful.  How about if we do this again next year in Barcelona?  Love to all of you.

Donna Kelley (Velazquez)

It was such fun to see so many smiling faces and to say hello to so many old friends.  Like I told Janie later it was almost like being there but without the calories.  As Jeanine says you all look fantastic.

Btw when I called Jeanine who was to be in on the WhatsApp call I asked, "Hey, is everything ok"?  I guess in Arizona that qualifies as "giving hell". laugh    I would never do that to my dear amiga.

Barcelona sounds good next year! Donna, so sorry we couldn't hear. It was a wonderful luncheon, but my suggestion was to have a musical chair option! lol.

not since my nightclubbing days have I seen so many hotties in one place.

when I saw the photo it reminded me of growing up, as I did, with three lovely sisters -- katie, ellen, and maryanne - and no brothers, lovely or otherwise.

I know it shaped me, shaped my heart in a particular way - but I've never known how to put my finger on exactly how.

All I know is a part of me wanted to zip up to columbus and sneak into the ladies-only event.

but here in my mid seventies I'm just only recently become mature enough to be more gentlemanly than that. or at least to fake it.

Nina: Thank you so much for the photos and the recap; thanks, too, to Janie for organizing the luncheon and to Susie Schmidt's sister Georganne for the pictures (and bringing Susie!) One of my favorite moments (there were many) occurred as we were saying grace and I looked up to see Karen Cesar walking to the table. Heaven sent! It was a memorable, memorable afternoon and I am so grateful to everyone who attended (and beautiful Donna on the phone ...)

Not this Year 😢

Mid-to late September is Aspen changing time here in Colorado and I love to bounce along the rocky forest roads to capture all the action.

Unfortunately, that is not going to happen for me this year, perhaps maybe never again. I don't know what my back and legs will be able to tolerate after surgery is done but, even then, my (our) age is getting to be a factor.

I do have many, many photos I can peruse that I have never shared which may be worth a look or two. That would be the sedentary thing to do.

In the meantime I'll just go for any wildlife that happens to come into our yard.

( Maybe even another bear cub like a few years ago .)

But I'll miss the trees....

Jim

Dear Jim, so sorry about  your physical issues and upcoming surgery.  If you let me know the date of your surgery, I will pray for you that day that all will be well - that the issue will be resolved and that you have a quick recovery. God bless you.  Joe

Joe G.,

Thanks, Joe, I can use all the prayers you and others can offer!

I have a pre-op appointment in mid September and should find out then when I will be scheduled for the surgery. I'll let you know then.

Jim

...and what's the deal with all the photos of all the gorgeous babes, and why wasn't I invited? Was it because like most Catholic gatherings, it was ladies only or men only? Thought we overcame that tradition by sophomore year. I guess my ADS kept me from noticing change.

Asking for donations of $15 per person so He can "get to heaven".

Have we gone past the point of utterly ridiculous?
